The dual Fire/Psychic-type warrior introduced to the franchise with Scarlet & Violet is making its way to Pokemon Go to celebrate the Pokemon Horizons animated series. Here’s all you need to know about Armarouge in the game, including its best moveset and whether or not it’s a good fighter.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet introduced players to a whole new region with over 110 brand-new Pokemon to discover. Amongst them, the little Fire-type Charcadet stood out due to its branched evolution, giving trainers the chance to get either Armarouge (Scarlet exclusive) or Ceruledge (Violet exclusive).

Whether you had one version or the other, you’ll be able to get the one you like the most -or even both- in Pokemon Go thanks to the upcoming special event that celebrates the Western debut of Pokemon Horizons: The Series.

From March 5, 2024, until March 11, 2024, Charcadet will appear in 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs before settling in the latter, so you better take advantage of it and find one with great IVs and gather a ton of Candies to evolve it.

If you’ve set your mind on getting yourself an Armarouge in the game, here’s its best moveset as well as whether or not the Psychic warrior can pull its own weight.

Armarouge general stats in Pokemon Go

This dual Fire/Psychic-type Pokemon has an attack-based stat spread of 234 (ATK), 185 (DEF), and 198 (STAT), and can reach a max CP value of 3209 in Pokemon Go, which can be boosted by Sunny or Windy weather.

Unlike its pure Fire-type previous stage, Armarouge is vulnerable to Ground, Rock, Ghost, Water, and Dark-type moves. But despite its many weaknesses, it can also be resistant to strong types such as Fighting, Steel, and Fairy, as well as Fire, Grass, Psychic, and Ice.

Best moveset for Armarouge

The best moveset available for Armarouge in Pokemon Go consists of Incinerate as a Fast Move and Flamethrower as a Charged Move, with 14.14 damage per second and a solid 417.94 total damage output before it faints.

Even though Armarouge is a dual Fire/Psychic-type creature, it only has one Psychic move -Psyshock- which is not even the best out of them all, so it’s better to go for Flamethrower as it deals more damage and targets more types.

All moves Armarouge can learn

This warrior Pokemon has two Fast Moves and four Charged Moves available in its pool, and they all focus on its typing to take advantage of STAB.

Armarouge Fast Moves

  • Ember (Fire/STAB)
  • Incinerate (Fire/STAB)

Armarouge Charged Moves

  • Flamethrower (Fire/STAB)
  • Heat Wave (Fire/STAB)
  • Psyshock (Psychic/STAB)
  • Flame Charge (Fire/STAB)

Is Armarouge any good in Pokemon Go?

Its particular type combination puts him in a select group alongside Delphox, Victini, and Darmanitan (Zen Mode), however, that does not mean it’s great at battling in Pokemon Go.

Armarouge can hit a good variety of types and deal a large amount of damage with its Fast Move, making enemies waste their shields fast, but due to its lack of bulkiness, it can’t last long in combat.

Even though it performs better in Ultra and Master Leagues rather than Great League, this Pokemon shouldn’t be your first option for battling in the game.
